The Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) in coordination with the Department of Education (DOE) has issued a recommendation to all schools in Lawrence County. The recommendation relies on two standard public health metrics: incidence rate and the percent positivity of diagnostic testing. These metrics are available for every county in Pennsylvania on the COVID-19 Early Warning Monitoring System Dashboard. At this time, based upon increased COVID 19 transmissions within Lawrence County it is the recommendation of the DOH and DOE that the School District continues with a full remote learning model. As a result, the Wilmington Area School District grades K-12 will continue full virtual instruction through Tuesday, November 24, 2020. The District will continue to monitor the information disseminated by the DOH and DOE and will notify families as soon as possible for the week following the Thanksgiving holiday.

Did you know that Parents/Guardians can sign up to receive a weekly report of their student's web activity on their school issued Chromebook?! Guardians can see the websites their child has accessed (or attempted to access!) as well as their search terms/phrases. It will also show you average screen times. Registration for this service is located at the bottom of our Parent/Guardian Communications Page within our website (https://www.wasd.school/parent-guardian-communications)

Due to COVID-19 concerns, the school district will not be able to operate some our Christmas Donation Programs this year. This includes the Elementary's Angel Tree Program, The Middle School's Christmas Program, and the High School Christmas program.
