Volunteer Info
The District is implementing a new online volunteer process. If you are interested in volunteering in the Wilmington Area School District or you are currently an approved volunteer, you must complete an online Volunteer Application. We will no longer accept paper Volunteer Applications. We apologize for this inconvenience. It is extremely important that you provide your email address. This is how you will be notified of your volunteer status. You will be required to upload the following documents:
- Act 34 Criminal Background Check – https://epatch.pa.gov/home
- Act 151 Child Abuse – https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home)
- Act 24 Arrest/Conviction Report
- Volunteer Application
If you have not lived in Pennsylvania for 10 consecutive years or if you are interested in chaperoning an overnight trip, you must upload your Pennsylvania Safe Check (PASafeCheck) Fingerprints – https://www.identogo.com. The Service Code is 1KG6XN.
College students who will be doing Student Teaching, Internships, Observations or Field Experience with our district, you will need to upload the following documents:
- College Student Clearance Registration
- Act 34 Criminal Background Check – https://epatch.pa.gov/home
- Act 151 Child Abuse – https://www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home)
- FBI Fingerprints – https://www.identogo.com
- Act 24 Arrest/Conviction Report
- Volunteer Application
College students are also required to submit TB Test results. You will not be permitted to begin your assignment until you are notified that you are approved.
Please allow at least 2-3 weeks for these clearances to be processed. You will not be permitted to volunteer with the Wilmington Area School District until the volunteer process is complete.
