Kindergarten Registration
Begins March 15, 2021

Beginning immediately for the 2021/22 School Year, new student registration will be completed online. Current Wilmington residents will be able to create a Registration Application Account, complete and upload all registration materials starting March 15, 2021.   If you received a paper packet please use that packet to help you complete the information via this online registration process. NO PAPER APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.(unless you had turned the packet in prior to March 12, 2021.   Families who do not have internet access can call our enrollment coordinator to schedule an in-person appointment. Families should complete the registration process by April 14, 2021.   In-person assessment of your kindergartener will be held on April 14th and April 15.   If you have already sent in your paper enrollment packet (prior to March 12, 2021) we will enter your student into Alma for you.  This will help us streamline the kindergarten registration process.  All future communication via the district will be done electronically.  

Children must be five years old before September 1 to enroll in kindergarten or six years old before September 1 to enroll in first grade.



Review Instructions for Current Residents Registering for Kindergarten

To help prepare you for online registration, here are the documents you will be required to provide (via electronic upload) in order to enroll your child:

  • Two proofs of residency (list of acceptable documents provided within questionnaire)

  • Your child's birth certificate

  • Your child's immunization record

  • Custody/Court papers if needed

 Create Your Registration Application Account Via ALMA

  •  If you are new to Wilmington Area School District please click this link ( and click Create Account.  This will allow you to create a parent account. Once you have verified your email, you will click the + to add a student.  You will then be able to register your student.

  • If you already have an Alma parent account please click this link. (  Once you are logged into your account you will click the round circle in the right corner of screen and then click Alma Start.  You will then click the + to add a new student.
