2nd Grade Conducts Science Experiment

2nd grade conducted a science experiment to reinforce their understanding of the different states of matter. We combined baking soda (solid) and vinegar (liquid) in a chemical reaction to produce carbon dioxide (gas). The students used their observation skills throughout this experiment to evaluate starting materials and make predictions. They were able to determine that a gas was produced due to the presence of bubbles and foam. They really enjoyed this hands-on learning activity.
